For children aged 8 - 12, Roald Dahl books are fantastic. For example children will love 'THE WITCHES' - Roald Dahl. It is full of adventures and funny things.
It is about a boy who goes to a place with his Grandma. In the hotel they stay, the boy finds some witches who turn him into a mouse and he remains like that for the rest of his life.
My favorite part was when the author starts to tell about the ways to identify witches.
